I am so excited about learning how to use wikis and blogs - etc. I am anxious to bring back this wealth of information and share it with my colleagues and perhaps use it for our State Consortium and of course, my school district.
I started using wikis a few months ago and I've found a lot of uses for them. I have both work related ones and personal ones and I've introduced many of my friends to them as well. Our AT team uses it to communicate and share resources. It's also a great place to keep meeting notes and other commonly used documents. I've been using PBwiki, but I did like using wikispaces also.
Digital Literacies: New Ways to Support Reading AND Writing
This blog is an outline of an all-day workshop presented at the Closing the Gap Conference in Minneapolis, MN on October 17, 2007.
While a blog is not typically used as a course outline, it was used in this way so that workshop participants could have hands-on experience with how a teacher might use a blog as a classroom tool to build literacy skills in students.
The blog also offers an online medium for collaboration, links to other Web 2.0 tools such as wikis and RSS feeds, and serves as a digital record of the workshop and the learning by participants.

It was the first experience with wikis. We see the application and are hoping to work on these with teams at our schools.

I will be using this with our resource teachers for tech resource listings.
This is a good way to inform ideas that are simple to complex.
I have been looking for some time to try out blogging and this has been the perfect opportunity to learn. Thanks!
I think the best way to learn these are to practice....
It is a great resource that we must remeber to use!!
A Wiki is a great place to display several types of documents, including graphics and photoes, and resources that can focus on a specific topic.
